Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal – Shocking and heart-wrenching incident on the R102 between Canelands and Verulam, two elderly citizens were targeted by ruthless thieves while trapped in their overturned vehicle. Adding to the chaos, a blue Toyota Etios with significant front-end damage was discovered about 50 meters away from the overturned Mercedes Benz. The Toyota’s driver explained that his vehicle had a mechanical failure shortly after undergoing suspension repairs and wheel alignment. This unexpected malfunction caused the Toyota to veer uncontrollably into the path of the Mercedes Benz, leading to the violent overturning of the latter.
