According to the report, Intel Corp (INTC.O) give a statement on Tuesday that they will work with Swedish telecommunications gear maker Ericsson’s 5G networking gear using the most advanced manufacturing technology Intel has disclosed.

Intel Corp( INTC.O) commonly known as Intel is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California is one of the world’s largest semiconductor chip manufacturers by revenue and is one of the developers of the sets found in the most personal computers (PCs).

Intel manufactured motherboard chipsets, network interface controllers and integrated circuits, flash, memory graphics chips, embedded processors and other devices related to communication and computing.

Intel has lost its head in Manufacturing the smallest and most power-efficient semiconductors to rivals such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (2330. TW). A key piece of Intel Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger’s plan announced in 2021 to regain that lead and turn the company around has been to pack five generations of chip manufacturing advances into four years.

Ericsson is a Swedish multinational networking and telecommunications company headquartered in Stockholm. The company sells infrastructure software and services in information and communications technology for telecommunications service providers and enterprises including among others 3g,4g, and 5G equipment and Internet Protocol(IP) and optical transport systems.

Erricson has been a major contributor to the development of the telecommunications industry and is one of the leaders in 5G. Ericsson Enterprise provided communications systems and services for businesses, public entities and educational institutions. It produced products for voice over Internet Protocol-based private branch exchanges wireless local network Wlan and mobile intranets.

Intels said that the new Erricson chip will use Intel’s 18 A manufacturing technology and is among the first chips from outside customers that Intel will use the technology. Intel and Erisccson did not provide details on when the chip will hit the market but Intel has previously said that its 18A manufacturing technology will be ready by 2025.
