Chelsea Should Given Datro Fofana A Good Chance At The Club Instead Of Signing Jackson

Nicolas Jackson’s move to Chelsea Football Club this summer is imminent. The West London Side have made it clear to Villarreal Football Club that they are prepared to pay £35m for the services of the young Senegalese. The 22-year-old has a medical at the club already scheduled for the weekend as a deal draws closer to being finalized ahead of next season.

Well, Chelsea are looking for another striker in Europe despite having David Datro Fofana who was heavily denied his playing time at the club. The Ivory Coast international moved from Molde to Chelsea last season only to continue to sit on the Blues bench. Much like Nicolas Jackson, David Datro Fofana is a promising young player with plenty of qualities to add to the current Chelsea squad.

I think it will benefit Chelsea better if they give Datro Fofana a good chance at the club next season instead of spending money on another young striker in Nicolas Jackson. Since the Blues are not after top-class strikers like Victor Osimhen or Harry Kane, David Datro Fofana should be considered instead of signing Nicolas Jackson. In my opinion, David Datro Fofana is more skilled, physical and also a better finisher in front of goal. All Ivorian International needs is trust from the Chelsea team accompanied by game time and support from the Manager to start showing his true qualities at the club.
