South Africans Excited as Crime Prevention Wardens Commence Parade at Steyl Stadium

Criminal activities will soon be a thing of the past in Gauteng as the Prime Minister of the Province, Mr Panyaza Lesufi continues to find innovative ways to ensure that the lives and property of citizens living within his jurisdiction are well protected.

In an effort to bring about peace and stability in Gauteng, Prime Minister Gauteng, Panyaza Lesufi inaugurated a security unit known as Crime Prevention Wardens which will work together with other security agencies to tackle crime in the region.

In the latest development, MEC Faith Mazibuko, Executive Mayor of Emfuleni, Cllr Sipho Radebe along with District Commissioner of Police Services South Africa, Brigadier Nkwashu are currently at Isak Steyl Staduim, Vanderbijlpark for the South Corridor Crime Prevention Warden’s Parade.

Crime Prevention Warden Gauteng was deployed in the Townships, Informal Settlements and Hostel (TISH) hotspot area as part of a targeted Crime Prevention operation. The Wardens will work closely with the South African Police Service and other law enforcement agencies to fight crime and lawlessness throughout Gauteng province.

Prime Minister Gauteng, Mr Panyaza Lesufi also confirmed that permanent job opportunities for Crime Prevention Wardens would be expanded to include helicopter and drone pilots.
