Napoli aim to increase Osimhen’s release clause

Napoli have been in talks with striker Victor Osimhen and his representatives in a bid to add a release clause to the new contract. The Nigerian, 24, led Napoli to their first Serie A title since the days of Diego Maradona this season, and has been linked with big-money moves to Manchester United and Chelsea. Osimhen is currently said to be worth around €120m (£104m) but a new deal with a release clause could change that. Tuttomercatoweb said that talks would begin in early June.

Chelsea are willing to swap Kovacic for Onana

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is willing to trade Mateo Kovacic to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. That’s according to Inter Live, who say the Blues “really want” to sign the Cameroon goalkeeper and could make a “concrete effort” this summer. Onana, who is excellent with the ball at his feet and recently impressed in the run to the Champions League final, is reportedly a target for the Blues this summer. Kovacic could be used as a complement in that deal. The Croatian is unlikely to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge, which expires at the end of next season.
